Craig’s Mission To Travel Europe And Discover Whatever It Is He’s Looking For

February 28, 2009 · Filed Under Travel · Comment

Have you ever wanted to drop everything you’re doing and just travel abroad? My former roommate, Craig Mullins, did just that. We were both freshmen at the University of Missouri in Columbia. Craig had not been feeling like he belonged at the University. He didn’t feel like part of the crowd. He felt like he didn’t belong. He decided that instead of staying in college and being miserable, his time would be better spent if he would travel across Europe and blog about his experience. His blog, “Whatever it is I’m Looking For,” follows his journey from college freshman to amateur travel blogger.

In Craig’s own words: “From childhood until college, I was always far above my peers in intelligence (though many of the people I have met in college can brag the same.) I was placed in accelerated education classes and in the long run wound up scoring a 35 on my ACT. My range of general interests has always landed even further away from the norm than my IQ. I am more than a bit eccentric. At sixteen, I was already a quantum physics buff and by seventeen, I was working with extremely powerful magnets in fairly successful attempts to invent a new type of engine that uses very little energy input. However, despite my deep love for science, I consider myself more of an artist. I’ve written a screenplay, several short stories, most of a novel (which will be finished at some point) and way too much poetry; I’ve dabbled in film and the visual arts and I am a talented keyboard/piano player and although I’m not very good at it, I’ve at least attempted to play a mandolin.”

So, Craig not only is an amateur traveler, but also an amateur pianist, scientist, and writer. He has already captured the attention of the newspaper in his hometown of Wentzville, Missouri. He has a growing fan base and hopes to have even more readers to follow his travels. His story is very unique and exciting; most kids just go home defeated after dropping out of college, but Craig took on the challenge of traveling abroad instead. He figured that his trip would be his one shot for fame, happiness, and perhaps finding Whatever it is He’s Looking For. With only his backpack and a few meager possessions, he flew from St. Louis, Missouri, to London. He is still in London for the week, but he plans to visit Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, and many other exciting destinations, and he plans on couch surfing to conserve money.

If you find Craig’s story interesting, leave him a comment or refer a friend to his blog. You may also send him a dollar or two through a PayPal donation site, which can be found at the bottom of his blog. I hope you will support and encourage Craig on his quest for Whatever it is He’s Looking for!

Proposals For Affiliate Marketing Novice - False Steps To Fend Off

February 28, 2009 · Filed Under Affiliate Marketing · Comment

In affiliate marketing you can most often be tempted by the promise of joining as an affiliate for several different sites while making money from each one of them. It is, but a big mistake, that many underestimate the constant work and preparation needed to bring in this ‘easy’ money.

This article reveals the most common and most costly mistakes that affiliate marketers make and explains exactly how you can avoid making the same errors.

1. Lack of knowledge about the affiliate program being promoted

You should promote affiliate programs that compliment the overall theme of your site in order to convince your visitors and subscribers to purchase the product. Once you have decided on an affiliate program that you would like to work with, it is important that you take the time to learn about that specific program.

2. Not being patient

A lot of people get frustrated when they don’t make the millions they hear about when they get started. You have to be patient to build your business. That is the secret to long lasting profits.

3. Taking on too many affiliate programs

Concentrate on a 3-4 good ones instead of hundreds and you will definitely make much more money in the long term. You maybe tempted at firs to start earning more and signup for way too many affiliate marketing programs but don’t give in, it’s a mistake.

4. Not using signature file correctly

A sig file is a great tool for promoting any product/service you offer too. It should not be more than six to eight lines. Twenty lines of text full of affiliate links to a bunch of different products can be easily considered as spam.

5. Not writing your own ad copy

Take time write your own more convincing ads that suit your target audience and subscribers before sending it out. Can you imagine how much value will your message have when it arrives and the reader is seeing it for the nth time?

6. Not paying for your own domain name and hosting account

Successful affiliates have made small investment on a domain name. These days, you can get a domain name for just $1 per month and either pay for your hosting or use one of the free hosting services.

7. Not capturing your leads before you send them on to the affiliate product site

Don’t let visitors get away from you. Set up a squeeze page so you can capture your lead’s email address before you send them on to the product site. In this way, you can continue to market to them until they gain to trust you and actually buy your product.

Committing some of these most common false moves
will cost the you a large portion of your profit everyday. That is why it is better to steer clear them from the get go than to be sorry later.

Beneath the biceps is the brachialis, a flat muscle group that runs about half way up the upper arm bone from the elbow joint. From the rear you can see the brachialis as a well-defined band of muscle between the triceps and biceps when a muscular bodybuilder flexes his/her arm.

Triceps brachii – The Three muscles at the rear upper arm that run from the elbow to the shoulder. The triceps is a three-headed muscle that is on the back of the upper arm (hence the name tri in triceps).

Forearm – The several smaller muscles that run from the elbow to the wrist. There are three primary muscle groups in the forearms. The forearm flexors lie along the inner sides of the forearms. February 28, 2009 · Filed Under Travel · Comment

Kuala Lumpur sightseeing just got easier with the recent introduction of the KL Monorail & KL Hop-On Hop-Off One Day Unlimited Ride package. Although it’s quite a mouthful to say, the Malaysia vacation promotion makes it comfortable for tourists to access the many major tourist spots in Kuala Lumpur within one day.

For just RM20 per person (adult or child), pass-holders can enjoy unlimited travel around Kuala Lumpur in any single day on two modes of transportation - the KL Hop-On Hop-Off (KL HOHO) bus and the KL Monorail train. With the ticket, tourists can hop on and off the bus and monorail as and when they wish.

The KL HOHO bus follows a pre-determined Kuala Lumpur sightseeing route that covers 70 tourist attractions and 22 designated stops including several at KL Monorail stations. On board are pre-recorded descriptions of tourist attractions in eight different languages, i.e. Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin, Hindi, Arabic, Japanese, French and Spanish.

Traveling on the Kuala Lumpur sightseeing double-decker KL HOHO bus, passengers can view the best of Kuala Lumpur with its semi-glass roof. Its route covers numerous attractions including the iconic PETRONAS Twin Towers, the Golden Triangle shopping district where Pavilion and Starhill malls are located, the green belt at Kuala Lumpur Lake Gardens and the historic district near Merdeka Square.

Meanwhile, there are 11 KL Monorail stations situated in high-traffic areas around the city, connecting passengers to shopping districts, major hotels, commercial centres, tourist attractions and stretches of hip dining and clubbing establishments.

Traveling on these elevated rail systems is a sightseeing in Kuala Lumpur experience in itself as it offers a bird’s eye view of the city below, and a stop at any one of the stations will give tourists a further peek into the typical urban lifestyle of KL-ites.

The KL Sentral stop, for instance, is located near Brickfields, an area thriving with the business and social activities of the mostly-Indian community there. A walk around the neighborhood is an unforgettable sensorial experience filled with colourful sights, aromas of curries and burning incense, and the sounds of the lilting Tamil widely spoken there.

The Maharajalela interchange, on the other hand, is the gateway to Kuala Lumpur’s self-proclaimed Chinatown where vendors will appeal to you with all manner of fruits, shoes, clothes, bags, herbal remedies and more! More than just a marketplace of sorts, Chinatown embodies Kuala Lumpur’s exciting and fast-paced lifestyle.

In addition to Kuala Lumpur sightseeing, pass-holders can revel in great discounts on entrance tickets to Petronsains, the KL Bird Park, and Aquaria, as well as on food and beverages at Seri Melayu restaurant.

Tickets can be purchased at the Bukit Bintang and KL Sentral monorail counters and aboard all KL HOHO buses. The ticket entitles holders to unlimited rides in a single day on the KL Monorail and KL HOHO buses. The promotion ends on 31 May 2009.
