I’ve been studying the niche marketing methods on PotPieGirl’s 6 Step Niche Sites WP Blog, and gotta say it all makes sense. I read through the 6 Steps to niche blog creation and decided that I would try it all out on a Squidoo lens first and see what happens…
So I did a litle keyword research and coupled that with a bit of affiliate product research and came up with a lens on the Barack Obama Coin products being offered by The New England Mint.

A Really Cool Video Creation Service
If you want something a bit flashier than a slideshow but still lack the video production skills to pull off something with the impact you want, then you should really try the Animoto Video Creation Service.

How a “Sales Funnel” Really Works

The metaphor of a “funnel” is an appropriate way to look at the process of selling. At the top of the funnel, the widest part, we feed in unqualified prospects. As part of the sales process, we winnow away at the unqualified prospects, gradually qualifying them until customer come out of the small end. Not unusually, what comes out the tip of the funnel is a smaller flow than what goes in.
There are two dynamics of the sales funnel that need to be understood. The first is that the funnel, containing both unqualified prospects as well as those that are more qualified, needs to be viewed as a whole – that is, the sales process – the funnel – works on all prospects in the process. This means that a sales person or a sales organization has to address each type of prospect. Jim Cecil, an expert in on ‘nurture marketing’ estimates that 60% of all leads will eventually buy if followed up on properly. But all too often, leads that might be productive are dropped after only four ineffective contacts. Haste makes waste.
The second dynamic is that of how we move prospects from the wide end to becoming a customer at the tip – how we control the flow. Generally speaking this is also a question of prospect nurturing and cultivation – educating the prospect and presenting them with successively more involving offers. The entire cultivation process is about building trust and confidence in the process.
What about your sales funnel? Are you constantly putting new material into the wide end? Do you have a well-defined process for qualifying and moving prospects into customers? Are you abandoning good prospects too early? Examine your own ‘sales funnel’ and see if you don’t find some good opportunities to boost sales and profits.

Step 1 - Free Product. This is usually a free report comprising of 15-30 pages, packed with good solid information. The idea here is to build a relationship with your leads, and to establish yourself as a reliable authority for information on the niche topic.
Step 2 - Low-Cost Product. This can be a small report that sells for $17 to $27. Typically, the report will be between 30 pages to 100 pages. This is more detailed than the free report but it still does not go deep enough.
Step 3 - Average-Cost Product. This can be a $47-$77 ebook or a set of video tutorials. Such a product will usually be tailored for the more advanced, intermediate user who isn’t satisfied with the information in the lower cost product.
Step 4 - High-Cost Product. This is a high-level product usually reserved for experts ready to take their knowledge to the next level. This means they are willing to pay a premium. You can often charge anywhere from $97 to $997 for this product. It can be a membership site, a coaching program or a home study course. Of course, you can use a $97 product and then add another step which might lead to a $497 product. It’s all up to you how you design your marketing funnel!
